However, over the last few months, she was diagnosed with diabetes, and Guy and Lei were kind enough to take her to the vet on many occasions to get her tested and treated, as well as getting up early every day to give Lulu her jabs.
Then out of the blue, our friends returned home a few days ago to find her very sick on the stairs of their house. She was whizzed to the vets, but had already died by the time they arrived; it's not clear why.
We are very sad about her death, as are Guy and Lei, but it's important to remember that she did have a long and happy life (she was about 16) and was loved by everyone she met.

She was a clever thing; somehow she had known early on that Maja was pregnant with Aron, and refused to walk on her tummy anymore - something she had habitually done before that. Later, she had been a great companion for the boys when they were toddlers, rarely getting angry at their prodding and pulling. And as she wandered around Clapton Square, she made friends with almost everyone that passed by, she was so sociable. All in all she was a lovely cat and will be missed by many in the area.
We'd just like to thank Guy and Lei for caring for her so well and we're sorry she left them so soon.
Love to all,
Dan and Maja and the boys
